Our Finance team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Taguig as a Tax Compliance Associate.
In this role you will ensure the Banks compliance with the National Internal Revenue Code, regulations and issuances of the DOF, BIR, BLGF, BSP, and other relevant government agencies, as well as internal policies and service level agreements. You will also help mitigate risks related to tax disputes, assessments, penalties, and surcharges arising from non-compliance or delayed and erroneous tax filings.

What the role will entail
- Prepare and file tax returns with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and process annual registrations with the BIR and local government units
- Compute month-end tax accruals and monitor tax-related General Ledger accounts
- Maintain organized tax records and respond to tax data and information requests
- Review issuances from DOF, BIR, LGU, Supreme Court, and Court of Tax Appeals, and recommend necessary policy updates
- Ensure overall compliance with national and local tax regulations and provide internal tax advisory support to business units
- Prepare reconciliations and working papers for tax audits and coordinate with BIR examiners as needed
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license are required
- At least 2 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in the banking industry
- Knowledgeable in tax laws, regulations, financial accounting policies and procedures, and bank products and services
- Proficient in MS Office applications and accounting systems, with strong communication and above-average written English skills
- Highly organized, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure
