Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with the business users to understand their processes and support their needs
- Direct post-go-live optimizations and follow-on development efforts
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performance applications
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Integration of data storage solutions
- All other duties as assigned
Position requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a JavaScript Developer
- At least 2 years experience in Backbone.js, SASS/LESS, Handlebar.js
- Experience in SEO
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform APIs, Maps, Location, etc
- Experience with other eCommerce platforms (Drupal)
- Good knowledge of popular frameworks
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
- Good understanding of server-side languages
- Good understanding of server-side preprocessors
- Proficient understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
- Basic understanding of accessibility and security compliance
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Basic understanding of automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Portfolio, Sample work/websites done in the past would be a plus
