Fresh Start is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DayCare Cook/Floater to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to the children in our care, as well as assisting in other areas of the daycare as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and allergies

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations

- Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies

- Assist in serving meals and snacks to children, ensuring proper portion sizes and dietary restrictions are followed

- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces after each use

- Assist in other areas of the daycare, such as supervising children during playtime or helping with classroom activities, as needed

- Communicate with parents and caregivers about menu plans and any dietary restrictions or concerns

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a food service or cooking role, preferably in a daycare or school setting

- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children

- Ability to follow recipes and adapt them to meet dietary restrictions

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Must pass a background check and have up-to-date immunizations
