PowerBI Tester

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Power BI and Power Apps Tester to join our Agile team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of analytics and automation solutions by executing test activities across functional and non-functional testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely defect resolution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate as part of a cross-functional Agile team to deliver end-to-end testing for Power BI dashboards and Power Apps solutions.

Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various testing streams (e.g., product test, integration test, deployment test).

Conduct functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across Power BI reports, Power Apps components, and related services.

Perform automation testing of web applications and REST APIs using Selenium with Python and BDD frameworks like Behave or SpecFlow.

Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and product owners to define test requirements and assess risk-based testing approaches.

Manage and track defects through to resolution, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.

Ensure test documentation and reporting are clear, traceable, and aligned with organizational standards.

Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize QA practices and enhance delivery efficiency.

Ensure compliance with organizational tools, frameworks, and quality standards throughout the testing lifecycle.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

7+ years of experience in QA with at least 4 years in test automation using Selenium with Python.

Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Behave or SpecFlow).

Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test management processes.

Hands-on experience in testing Power BI dashboards and Power Apps components.

Proficiency in writing and executing test cases for manual and automated testing.

Experience with REST API testing and web services validation.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment and manage risks proactively.
