BIM COORDINATOR (LOW VOLTAGE EXPERT)
About the job BIM COORDINATOR (LOW VOLTAGE EXPERT)
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage BIM models for Low Voltage / ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Data & Telecom, Fire Alarm, PA, and BMS interfaces
- Ensure LV/ELV BIM models comply with project specifications, codes, standards, and BIM Execution Plan requirements
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and lead resolution with multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate closely with MEP, Architectural, Structural, and Civil BIM teams to ensure clash-free federated models
- Review and validate models to ensure required Level of Development (LOD 300/400/500) is achieved
- Manage BIM model updates, revisions, and version control throughout the project lifecycle
- Support and guide BIM modelers on technical and modeling standards
- Participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Ensure timely delivery of BIM models, shop drawings, and as-built deliverables
- Maintain accurate BIM data and documentation as per project requirements
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in BIM, with strong focus on Low Voltage / ELV systems
- Proven experience in BIM coordination roles on large-scale projects
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP for LV/ELV systems
- Strong working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
- Good understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and project execution plans
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a BIM environment
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- GCC project experience is an added advantage
