The Senior Process Safety Engineer will lead and support all aspects of process safety and HSE engineering activities for oil and gas projects. This role involves preparing and reviewing safety documents, coordinating workshops, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with international process safety standards throughout all project phases. The position requires close collaboration with clients, contractors, and third-party consultants to ensure HSE deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and actively participate in engineering safety documents and workshops, including HAZID, HAZOP, IPF, LOPA, HER, Bow-Tie, ALARP, and HSE Case Deliberation.
- Review and contribute to Fire & Gas (F&G) Mapping Reports, Firefighting Specifications, Passive Fire Protection Specifications, Fire Water Demand Reports, and Fire Zone Layout Drawings.
- Coordinate with third parties to prepare HSE engineering documents, including Noise Assessment Reports, RAM Reports, Emergency Response Plans (ERP), and safety safeguards for emergency plant scenarios.
- Prepare close-out reports related to HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other process safety assessments.
- Develop philosophy and calculation reports for flare systems, including thermal radiation and dispersion analysis.
- Identify potential HSE issues across all project stages and implement preventive measures during the engineering phase.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, contractors, and third parties to ensure workshops and reports are delivered smoothly and on time.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Safety, Chemical Engineering, Oil & Gas Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Valid certification from a recognized internal or international institution.
- Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong familiarity with international engineering and safety standards relevant to Process Safety in the oil and gas sector.
- Experience in at least 2 EPCC/EPCIC onshore projects as a process safety leader or engineer.
- Proactive, open-minded, and cheerful with excellent learning, communication, organizational, and execution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with strong responsibility, teamwork, and coordination capabilities.
