We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Discipline Engineer (Field) – Civil to oversee and support all field civil engineering activities on a major onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will ensure that civil construction, structural works, and field engineering activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise all onshore civil field engineering activities during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases
- Ensure civil and structural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations teams to resolve field civil engineering issues
- Review and provide technical support for foundations, concrete works, structural steel erection, underground networks, roads, buildings, and field design changes
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Review and approve field technical queries (TQs), site instructions, method statements, and engineering change requests
- Provide technical guidance on excavation, earthworks, concrete placement, structural steel installation, grouting, anchor bolt alignment, and structural integrity requirements
- Participate in site inspections, walkdowns, punch list clearance, and final acceptance activities
- Liaise with the client, EPC teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on all civil field engineering matters
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in civil engineering, with significant experience in onshore field engineering for oil and gas projects
- Proven track record on large-scale onshore oil and gas, gas processing, or petrochemical projects
- Strong expertise in civil construction, structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, underground utilities, construction support, and field engineering activities
- Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, BS, ASTM, and relevant client specifications
- Experience with ADNOC Onshore projects is strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, coordination, and multidisciplinary communication skills
- Familiarity with engineering documentation, field engineering procedures, and construction management practices
