We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Piping Designer to support the FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases of offshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. This role is office-based in the UAE and requires strong expertise in piping layout, materials engineering, and offshore design standards. Experience with Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and produce piping design deliverables including piping layouts, general arrangement (GA) drawings, isometrics, support details, and MTOs.
  • Execute piping design across FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detailed Design phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications and offshore standards.
  • Create and modify 3D models using design tools (e.g., PDMS, E3D, or SP3D), ensuring proper clash management and design consistency.
  • Perform piping layout design for offshore platforms including equipment tie-ins, piping routing, stress considerations, and space optimization.
  • Collaborate with piping/material engineers to select appropriate piping materials and specifications based on design requirements and corrosive environments.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international codes (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Participate in model reviews, inter-discipline coordination meetings, and resolve design-related issues.
  • Support construction and fabrication teams with layout clarifications, vendor interface, and as-built updates.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Technical Degree in Mechanical or Piping Design Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in piping design for offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Saudi Aramco offshore project experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of piping layout design principles and offshore platform requirements.
  • Experience in materials engineering as it relates to piping systems (corrosion resistance, material selection, spec compliance).
  • Proficient in piping design and 3D modeling software (e.g., PDMS, E3D, SP3D, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with MTO preparation, piping specifications, and piping class development.
  • Good understanding of fabrication, installation, and offshore constructability aspects.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment and meet demanding schedules
