We are seeking an experienced Structural Modeler specializing in reinforced concrete detailing to develop 3D structural models, produce accurate shop drawings, and generate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of concrete detailing standards, rebar detailing practices, and structural drawing interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain structural BIM models for building projects using Revit in accordance with project requirements and BIM standards.
- Prepare accurate structural shop drawings, reinforcement detailing, and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP disciplines to identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
- Produce detailed construction documentation and ensure model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Update BIM models based on design revisions, site feedback, and coordination comments.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Support BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues.
- Extract quantities, schedules, and other model-based deliverables as required.
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to company BIM workflows and quality procedures.
- Assist project teams in achieving timely delivery of structural BIM deliverables.
Key Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Structural BIM Modeler.
- Proven experience working on Middle East/GCC building projects.
- Strong experience in reinforced concrete structures, structural shop drawings, and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of structural engineering drawings, construction methodologies, and BIM standards.
- Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Ability to interpret structural design documents and translate them into accurate BIM models.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work within project deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
