We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering activities for major EPC projects within the oil & gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of engineering work from FEED through Detailed Engineering, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes and standards, quality requirements, schedule, and budget. The Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinate with project management, procurement, construction, and external stakeholders, and ensure engineering deliverables are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from FEED through Detailed Engineering and engineering support during procurement and construction.
  • Direct multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Telecommunications, HVAC, Pipeline, Materials, and Safety disciplines.
  • Develop engineering execution plans, resource plans, engineering schedules, and work distribution strategies.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project quality requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering interfaces between disciplines to ensure design consistency and technical integrity.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, design reports, specifications, drawings, material requisitions, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable international codes, industry standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor engineering progress and identify risks, technical issues, and resource constraints while implementing effective mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Management, Procurement, Construction, Quality, HSE, and Planning teams to support overall project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions for complex design and execution challenges.
  • Lead engineering design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, model reviews, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Manage vendor engineering activities and ensure timely review and approval of vendor documentation.
  • Support procurement activities by reviewing technical evaluations, vendor offers, deviations, and material requisitions.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and project close-out as required.
  • Ensure effective management of engineering changes, technical queries, concessions, and design deviations.
  • Monitor engineering budgets, productivity, manpower utilization, and performance metrics.
  • Mentor and develop engineering team members while promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and HSE requirements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is an advantage.
  • Professional Engineering registration or Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
  • Minimum 18–20 years of engineering experience within the oil & gas industry.
  • At least 8–10 years in an Engineering Manager or Lead Engineering role.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale EPC projects.
  • Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
  • Middle East project experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting engineering during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC engineering processes and multidisciplinary design coordination.
  • Comprehensive understanding of international engineering codes and standards including API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, and related industry standards.
  • Experience with engineering management systems, design reviews, and project execution methodologies.
  • Familiarity with engineering software and document management systems.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, engineering planning, and resource management.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, engineering change management, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple engineering disciplines simultaneously.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering for large onshore oil & gas EPC projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex engineering packages from FEED through Detailed Engineering.
  • Experience managing engineering interfaces with procurement, construction, licensors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering tools, 3D model reviews, and integrated project delivery environments.
  • Experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary project teams within international EPC organizations
