We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Discipline Engineer (Field) – Electrical to oversee and support all field electrical engineering activities on a major onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical installation, testing, energization, and commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and supervise all onshore electrical field engineering activities during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases
  • Ensure electrical installation works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations teams to resolve field electrical engineering issues
  • Review and provide technical support for electrical installation, cable routing, equipment installation, testing, energization, and field design changes
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards
  • Review and approve field technical queries (TQs), site instructions, method statements, and engineering change requests
  • Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, grounding, and lighting installations
  • Participate in site inspections, walkdowns, punch list clearance, and final acceptance activities
  • Liaise with the client, EPC teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on all electrical field engineering matters

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience in onshore field engineering for oil and gas projects
  • Proven track record on large-scale onshore oil and gas, gas processing, or petrochemical projects
  • Strong expertise in electrical installation, construction support, testing, energization, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities
  • Thorough knowledge of international electrical codes and standards including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and relevant client specifications
  • Experience with ADNOC onshore projects is strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and multidisciplinary communication skills
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation, field engineering procedures, and construction management practices
