About the job SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough design reviews and propose redesigns as necessary using structural analysis software, including ETABS, SAFE, and SAP.
  • Ensure all designs meet project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Review shop drawings to verify alignment with design intent and compliance with specifications.
  • Create and modify shop drawings as required, ensuring clarity and accuracy for construction teams.
  • Lead BIM modeling efforts for structural components, ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve any design conflicts and promote collaboration across all project teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in structural engineering and design.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of design calculations, reports, and design decisions.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and updates on project progress.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software: ETABS, SAFE, and SAP.
  • Experience with BIM software and coordination practices.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, industry standards, and best practices in structural design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
