STRUCTURAL DESIGNER (EPC)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The primary purpose of the Civil Structural Designer position is to develop and deliver high-quality structural designs and drawings for projects within the oil & gas sector. This role plays a critical part in the engineering phase of projects, ensuring that all structural components meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for various projects in the oil & gas sector.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to create accurate and efficient design solutions that meet project specifications and standards.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
• Create and review technical documents, including design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are aligned with project requirements and timelines.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools for structural design and drafting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Identify and address any design-related issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of design work and project documentation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mandatory PDS & MICROSTATION experience
• Must be available to join immediately
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in civil structural design within the oil & gas industry.
• Proven experience in the oil & gas industry, particularly in the engineering phase.
• Extensive experience working with EPC contracting companies.
• Strong proficiency in structural design and analysis software, such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Tekla, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
