The Civil/Structural Field Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the civil and structural aspects of construction projects within the oil and gas industry. This role demands a highly skilled professional to ensure that all civil and structural work is executed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and within the designated timeline.
JOB RESPONSIBITILIES:
- Supervise and coordinate the civil and structural construction activities on-site.
- Ensure that all construction work adheres to project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve civil and structural issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Implement quality control procedures to verify the integrity and performance of civil and structural installations.
- Conduct inspections and tests on materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and construction activities.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on civil and structural engineering progress and issues.
- Assist in the development and review of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, adhering to all HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of civil and structural works.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and best practices.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 10 Years of Engineering Experience in oil and gas industry with 5 years in Field engineering.
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural systems, materials, and construction techniques specific to oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in using engineering design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
