PLUMBING BIM MODELER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of the job of a Plumbing BIM Modeler is to utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to create detailed and accurate 3D models specifically for plumbing systems within building projects. Overall, the Plumbing BIM Modeler plays a critical role in enhancing project efficiency, minimizing risks, and ensuring the successful implementation of plumbing systems within building projects through advanced BIM practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for plumbing systems including piping layouts, fixtures, equipment, and other plumbing components.
• Collaborate closely with plumbing engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to integrate plumbing designs into overall building and site plans.
• Ensure BIM models accurately represent plumbing design intent and comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between plumbing systems and other building elements.
• Generate accurate drawings, schedules, and documentation from BIM models for construction and installation purposes.
• Support project teams by providing BIM expertise, participating in project coordination meetings, and assisting with design reviews.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Plumbing BIM Modeler in a design consultancy environment within the GCC region.
• Proficiency in Revit software for BIM modeling of plumbing systems; strong skills in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Solid understanding of plumbing design principles, piping layouts, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and plumbing design requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Candidates who are locally available in the UAE are preferred.
• Can join immediately.
