Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D BIM models of interior design concepts and layouts during the design phase.
- Create and refine design elements in the BIM environment, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and interior details.
- Work with the design team to ensure design intent is accurately translated into the BIM model.
- Provide technical expertise in modeling interior elements such as walls, furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and other consultants to ensure integration of interior design elements with other project disciplines.
- Assist in resolving design conflicts by providing BIM-driven solutions during the design stage.
- Ensure that all team members have access to up-to-date and coordinated BIM models, drawings, and documents.
- Participate in design review meetings and communicate model updates effectively to the project team.
- Generate and update design drawings, schedules, and other technical documentation from the BIM model.
- Ensure that drawings are clear, accurate, and adhere to company standards and client specifications.
- Assist in preparing presentations and visualizations from the BIM model to convey design ideas to client
- Perform regular checks on BIM models to ensure that design integrity, spatial relationships, and technical details are maintained.
- Ensure that BIM models are built in accordance with project specifications, standards, and best practices
- Identify any design or coordination issues in the BIM model early and work with the team to resolve them.
- Maintain a structured and organized BIM model throughout the design process.
- Update and revise the model as design changes occur and ensure the model reflects the latest design direction
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles, construction techniques, and spatial planning.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BIM Modeler in the interior design or architecture industry, with a focus on the design stage
- Proven experience with creating BIM models and technical drawings during the design development phase of projects.
- Experience in designing interior spaces such as office buildings, retail environments, hospitality spaces, or residential interiors.
- Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and best practices.
- Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray) to create high-quality renderings and presentations.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and interior design standards.
- Ability to translate design concepts into technical models that reflect both aesthetics and functionality.
- Strong spatial awareness and understanding of interior design elements such as furniture, materials, finishes, lighting, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to identify potential design issues early and offer practical BIM-based solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience participating in design review meetings and presenting technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines
- High attention to detail in both the design and technical aspects of modeling.
- Consistently accurate in producing and managing project drawings, documents, and models.
