JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the instrumentation engineering activities during the Engineering phase of oil and gas projects, including FEED and Detailed Engineering.
  • Develop and review key deliverables, including instrument data sheets, control system specifications, instrument index, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and hook-up drawings.
  • Oversee the design and specification of field instruments, control systems, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and fire and gas detection systems.
  • Perform and review sizing calculations for control valves, pressure safety valves, and flow elements to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes and standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems with other project disciplines.
  • Conduct technical reviews, HAZOPs, SIL assessments, and design audits, ensuring all safety and performance criteria are met.
  • Manage vendor interactions, including technical evaluations, design reviews, and approval of documentation for instrumentation equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers within the team.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality instrumentation deliverables within budget.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for ADNOC representatives for all instrumentation-related matters.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, with significant exposure to leadership roles in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven experience in the Engineering phase (FEED and Detailed Engineering) of large-scale oil and gas projects.
  • Extensive experience working on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, procedures, and approval processes.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation design tools such as SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), AutoCAD, and related software.
  • Familiarity with international instrumentation codes and standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Immediate availability for joining in Abu Dhabi.
