About the job ARCHITECT INSPECTOR

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of architectural work, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and Qatar construction regulations.
  • Supervise and inspect the execution of construction works, ensuring that the design intent, construction quality, and safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure construction activities comply with established guidelines and requirements.
  • Identify and address potential construction issues or deviations from the approved plans, designs, and standards, and provide timely recommendations to resolve them.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and document any non-compliance or discrepancies, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of projects.
  • Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship on-site, ensuring compliance with the projects specifications and industry best practices.
  • Verify compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines as per Qatars regulations.
  • Assist in the review and approval of shop drawings, materials submittals, and other relevant project documents.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during project implementation

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in architectural inspection, construction supervision, or a similar role within the building industry.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing construction and architectural projects.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, building codes, and local construction regulations in Qatar.
  • Proficient in identifying construction issues or deviations from project plans and specifications and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, construction management software, and other relevant tools.
  • MMUP (Municipal Planning and Urban Development Authority) and UPDA (Unified Planning and Development Authority) certification is preferred.
