PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and providing feedback on mechanical designs submitted for various projects, focusing on pumps, compressors, and chemical dosing systems. This role is essential in ensuring that designs comply with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and evaluate mechanical design submissions, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide thorough and constructive feedback on designs related to pumps, compressors, and chemical dosing systems.
  • Collaborate with design teams to clarify requirements and resolve design-related issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing design evaluations and recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues in design and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in design review meetings and present findings to project stakeholders.
  • Monitor design revisions and ensure timely implementation of feedback.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes relevant to mechanical engineering in water treatment.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the water treatment or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, and chemical dosing systems, including design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to mechanical systems in water treatment.
  • Proficiency in engineering software for design analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Experience in project management and coordination within the EPC framework (Preferred).
  • Previous experience working on design reviews for major water treatment projects (Preferred).
