PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor with specialized experience in sewage treatment plants to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and contractual elements of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works related to sewage treatment plant projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for MEP works in sewage treatment plant projects.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurement of MEP works from drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate contractor quotations and prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports, including cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
  • Assess and certify contractor payments, variations, and final accounts.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality and functionality.
  • Provide cost advice and feasibility studies to clients and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project cost activities and documentation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in MEP quantity surveying, with specific experience in sewage treatment plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Familiarity with international standards and local regulations related to sewage treatment plants.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
