Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, programme, and sequence the construction of concrete and steel structures, ensuring smooth execution and optimal resource utilization
- Research, develop, and recommend construction methodologies tailored to specific project requirements, taking into account safety, time, and cost considerations.
- Prepare and implement logistics strategies (e.g., cranes, hoists, delivery routes) to optimize the movement of materials and ensure efficient project execution.
- Oversee the production and management of 2D sequencing drawings, 3D models, and 4D sequencing models in collaboration with the VDC/BIM team to visualize construction workflows and schedules.
- Take ownership of the technical aspects of a project, ensuring seamless coordination between the Client, Contractor, and Design Team, addressing technical issues as they arise.
- Understand and manage the commercial aspects of the project, including contracts, invoicing, variations, and ensuring alignment with the project budget and timeline.
- Produce accurate, high-quality work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed according to the established project timelines, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays or obstacles
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in construction engineering or related fields.
- Strong structural engineering background with an understanding of structural load paths and the principles behind the design and construction of concrete and steel structures.
- Experience working for a contractor in a construction management or engineering role.
- Pre-construction experience in construction planning and strategy development, with an understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with temporary works schemes used in construction (e.g., formwork, scaffolding, shoring).
- On-site experience in delivering complex structural projects, with an understanding of practical challenges and the ability to problem-solve in real-time.
