We are seeking an experienced Subsea Structures Engineer with a strong background in offshore engineering, design, and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing engineering solutions for subsea structures and ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and client requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the engineering and design of subsea structures for offshore projects, including manifolds, PLETs, PLEMs, and foundations.
- Perform FEED studies, concept selection, and detailed engineering for subsea projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pipeline, geotechnical, and installation engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable offshore codes and standards such as DNV, API, and ISO.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct structural analysis and simulations for subsea components, ensuring designs can withstand operational and environmental loads.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and specifications related to subsea equipment and materials.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety-related assessments.
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions while maintaining quality and adhering to project budgets and schedules.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Offshore Engineering.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in offshore engineering with a focus on subsea structures.
- Proven experience in FEED, detailed design, and engineering of subsea structures in the oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as API, DNV-OS-F101, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SACS, ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Experience with offshore installation techniques and subsea construction.
- Familiarity with geotechnical engineering principles and subsea foundation design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and interface with clients and contractors.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
