SR. ENGINEER (CIVIL & STRUCTURAL)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing structural design and engineering expertise for midstream and downstream projects within the oil and gas sector.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop civil and structural designs for midstream and downstream projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate existing infrastructure, soil conditions, and environmental factors, and incorporate findings into design proposals.
• Perform structural analysis and design of foundations, buildings, bridges, tanks, and other structural elements using software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar tools.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for civil and structural components of projects.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process engineering to ensure integration of civil and structural designs.
• Review vendor drawings and documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Provide technical support during the procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of projects, resolving any civil or structural engineering issues that arise.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on civil and structural engineering principles and practices.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry and engineering consultancy firms.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes such as AISC, ACI, ASCE, and API relating to civil and structural engineering.
• Experience with foundation design, reinforced concrete design, steel design, and seismic design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality civil and structural designs within project timelines and budget constraints.
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
