JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
- Oversee cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to maintain project profitability.
- Lead contract administration, including negotiation, execution, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Handle procurement strategies, subcontractor agreements, and vendor negotiations.
- Assess and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring financial and legal protection for the company.
- Review and manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
- Ensure timely billing, invoicing, and cash flow management to optimize project revenue.
- Work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth commercial operations.
- Prepare and present regular financial and commercial reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on UAE construction laws, FIDIC contracts, and industry best practices.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or certification in Contract Management or Cost Control is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial management within the GCC construction industry ideally in the UAE.
- Proven experience working in contracting companies on large-scale projects.
- Strong background in cost control, contract administration, claims management, and procurement.
- Experience with FIDIC contracts and UAE/GCC construction laws.
- Expertise in pre- and post-contract management.
- Understanding of local regulations, supplier networks, and cost benchmarks.
- Contract Management: Expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts.
- Cost Control & Financial Management: Budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Claims & Dispute Resolution: Handling claims, variations, and contractual disputes.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Managing procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating commercial risks in projects.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using ERP systems, CostX, Primavera P6, Candy CCS, AutoCAD, or MS Office Suite.
- Candidates who are immediately available in the UAE are preferred.
