The Pipeline Stress Engineer will be responsible for conducting pipeline stress analysis during the Engineering phase, including FEED and Detailed Engineering for oil and gas projects. The role involves ensuring that pipeline systems are designed to withstand operational and environmental stresses, following international safety and engineering standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform pipeline stress analysis using industry-standard software such as Caesar II and AutoPIPE for various oil and gas projects.
- Evaluate stress factors such as thermal expansion, pressure changes, and external loads to ensure pipeline integrity.
- Provide stress analysis reports and recommendations, ensuring designs meet both client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with piping, civil, and structural engineering teams to integrate stress analysis results into overall project designs.
- Identify potential risks and failure points in pipeline systems and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
- Review and validate pipeline design documents, including P&IDs, isometric drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8).
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings with clients and contractors.
- Provide support for field engineering during project execution, as required.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance in pipeline stress engineering practices.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in pipeline stress engineering, with a focus on the Engineering phase, FEED, and Detailed Engineering for oil and gas projects.
- Proficiency in stress analysis software (Caesar II, AutoPIPE).
- Thorough understanding of pipeline materials, construction methods, and safety requirements.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API).
- Immediate availability is required.
