About the job CIVIL ENGINEER
We are looking for a highly experienced Civil Engineer to join our team and work on the design and engineering of 380 kV and 220 kV substations. The successful candidate will have 6-10 years of experience, specializing in primary and secondary design, detailed engineering, and the design of steel structures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the civil and structural design for 380 kV and 220 kV substations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
- Perform primary and secondary design, focusing on substation foundations, layouts, and structural components.
- Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical drawings for steel structures and civil works related to substation projects.
- Ensure the proper design and construction of steel structures, including gantries, towers, and equipment supports for substations.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate civil designs into overall substation plans.
- Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and documentation for client approval.
- Conduct site visits as required to support construction teams and ensure design implementation meets project requirements.
- Review and approve design submissions from subcontractors and vendors.
- Work closely with Saudi Electricity Company to meet project milestones and maintain high-quality deliverables.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in civil and structural design for substations, specifically 380 kV and 220 kV projects.
- Proven expertise in primary and secondary design, detailed engineering, and steel structure design.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes relevant to substation design and construction.
- Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software for design and analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Professional engineering certification (preferred but not required).
