The Piping Designer is responsible for preparing and modifying drawings required for construction activities at the site. This role involves verifying redline markup prepared by the Implementation Contractor and ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. The Piping Designer collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of piping designs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and modify piping drawings required for construction activities at the site. Ensure all designs meet the project specifications, standards, and codes.
  • Review and verify redline markups prepared by the implementation contractor to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment on design requirements and changes.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information, verify field conditions, and ensure the accuracy of design implementation.
  • Ensure that all drawings are checked for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Maintain organized records of all design modifications, markups, and communications related to the project.
  • Ensure all piping designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Identify and resolve any design issues or conflicts that arise during the construction phase.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, piping design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping design, preferably in the construction or oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in using CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design work and verification processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design and construction challenges.
