About the job DRAUGHTSMAN (MARINE EXPERIENCE)
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for marine structures including jetties, precast elements, pontoons, quay walls, and steel platforms.
- Coordinate with engineering, site, and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of drawings.
- Interpret marine project specifications, structural and architectural drawings.
- Modify drawings based on site conditions, RFIs, and client/consultant comments.
- Maintain drawing logs and proper documentation of drawing revisions.
- Conduct site visits and support the project team with dimensional verifications and design adaptations.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, specifications, and marine industry practices.
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil/Structural Drafting or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine projects such as ports, harbors, jetties, and offshore/onshore marine infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and other drafting software is a plus.
- Strong experience in precast concrete detailing, steelworks, and marine site installations.
- Familiarity with international and local marine construction standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be locally available in the UAE and able to join immediately.
