We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Engineering Phase of oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Detailed Engineering, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), and other critical design phases, ensuring project success from inception to execution.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and review electrical engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for oil and gas projects.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements during the Engineering Phase.
- Perform load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and relay coordination studies.
- Specify and select electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and cables, ensuring compatibility with project needs.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into project designs.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including data sheets, drawings, and reports.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input for project planning and cost estimation.
- Review and approve vendor submissions, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) documentation.
- Identify and address technical issues, ensuring timely resolution to avoid project delays.
- Provide technical support during design reviews, HAZOPs, and client meetings.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of working on FEED, Detailed Engineering, and pre-commissioning phases of large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, API).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
