ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector with experience working for an engineering consultancy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring that electrical installations, equipment, and systems comply with all relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The role involves reviewing electrical design drawings, conducting tests, and providing technical support to project teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform thorough inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems to verify compliance with local and international electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
• Conduct tests and checks on electrical components and systems to ensure proper functionality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, discrepancies, and recommendations. Maintain accurate and organized records of all inspections and test results.
• Provide technical support to project teams and clients on electrical compliance issues, assisting in the resolution of any identified non-conformances.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues related to electrical installations and inspections.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance and control procedures for electrical works.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Candidates MUST be immediately available and currently based in the UAE
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Electrical Inspector in an engineering consultancy environment.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards (such as NEC, IEC), and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Relevant certifications in electrical inspection or safety are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with inspection and reporting software tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site and perform inspections in various conditions, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
