The Field Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate all field engineering activities on a prominent onshore oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. This role involves managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring quality control, and aligning project deliverables with ADNOC standards and industry requirements. Extensive experience in ADNOC onshore or other significant Middle Eastern oil and gas projects is essential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, manage, and coordinate field engineering teams across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment with project requirements and ADNOC standards.
- Oversee all field engineering activities, including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping, to ensure timely, high-quality, and safe completion of works.
- Act as the primary interface between the project management team, engineering teams, contractors, and client representatives, ensuring effective communication and alignment on project objectives.
- Implement and maintain quality control standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, ADNOC specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Review and approve engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure project requirements and technical accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving complex issues on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and performance evaluations to monitor progress and identify potential issues or improvements.
- Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies across all engineering activities.
- Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and project documentation to senior management, client representatives, and stakeholders.
- Support project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting for field engineering tasks to meet project timelines and objectives.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- 10-15 years of field engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a management or supervisory role on ADNOC Onshore projects or other major oil and gas projects in the Middle East.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary field engineering teams on large-scale oil and gas projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and practices across civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industry codes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in client and stakeholder management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a background in quality assurance, HSE compliance, and project management.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API, ASTM) and ADNOC regulatory requirements.
- Relevant certifications in engineering or project management (such as PMP) are advantageous.
