The Pipeline Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of pipeline systems during the construction phase of oil and gas projects. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in pipeline engineering to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the installation of pipeline systems and equipment on-site.
  • Ensure that all pipeline installations adhere to project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of pipeline work.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel, including welders, fitters, and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline-related issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures to monitor and verify the integrity and performance of pipeline installations.
  • Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic tests to ensure the reliability and safety of pipeline systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on pipeline engineering progress and issues.
  • Assist in the development and review of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, adhering to all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of pipeline works.
  • Ensure that all pipeline activities comply with environmental regulations and best practices.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, or a related field.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 10 Years of Engineering Experience in oil and gas industry with 5 years in Field engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline systems, materials, and installation techniques specific to oil and gas projects.
  • Proficiency in using pipeline design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, PipeSim, Caesar II).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
