HVAC ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of an HVAC Engineer's job is to ensure that HVAC systems provide a comfortable, healthy, and energy-efficient indoor environment, contributing to the overall success of building projects and the well-being of occupants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems on-site.
• Ensure all HVAC works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and resolve any on-site issues related to HVAC installations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, documentation, and records.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams and junior engineers.
• Review and approve HVAC system designs and modifications as needed.
• Ensure proper installation and functionality of piping and ducting systems.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in HVAC engineering.
  

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-12 years of work experience as a HVAC Engineer
• Project experience in high rise buildings in the GCC region preferably from contracting companies.
• Experience working on Water Cooled Chiller Plant is a must.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, codes, and standards.
  
• Good knowledge of piping and ducting.
• Proficiency in HVAC design and project management software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
