We are looking for an experienced Sealine Engineer to oversee the design, engineering, and installation of subsea pipelines (sealine) for offshore projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipeline engineering, including FEED and detailed design, with a strong understanding of offshore installation and construction practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design and engineering of subsea pipelines (sealine) for offshore oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform FEED studies and detailed engineering for sealine systems, including routing, stress analysis, and material selection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, and installation engineers to ensure integrated pipeline design solutions.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and drawings for subsea pipeline systems.
  • Conduct pipeline installation analysis, including hydrodynamic, stability, and free-span assessments.
  • Oversee the procurement of pipeline materials, including line pipe, coatings, and associated subsea equipment.
  • Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases, ensuring all sealine activities are executed according to design and safety standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and safety workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant offshore codes and standards such as API, DNV-OS-F101, and ISO.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure successful delivery of pipeline projects.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Offshore, Pipeline, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in subsea pipeline (sealine) engineering and offshore pipeline installation.
  • Proven experience in FEED, detailed design, and installation of offshore pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore pipeline design standards, including API, DNV, and ISO.
  • Proficiency in pipeline engineering software (e.g., Caesar II, Offpipe, Abaqus).
  • Experience with installation techniques such as S-lay, J-lay, reel-lay, and trenching.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering principles and subsea soil-pipe interaction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in analyzing pipeline integrity and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in offshore environments and travel to project sites as required.
