Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mathematical and statistical models to solve complex business problems.
  • Use C/C++ and Python to design algorithms for data analysis, simulation, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other specialists to integrate models into larger systems.
  • Conduct statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of models by performing thorough validation and testing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in mathematical modeling and computational techniques.
  • Communicate findings, results, and methodologies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Optimize existing models for performance and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience in mathematical and statistical modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar.
  • Proficient in handling large datasets and working with databases (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and techniques is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of parallel computing, multithreading, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience in one or more specialized areas, such as quantitative finance, operations research, or engineering simulations.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
