Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and project managers to produce high-quality joinery drawings and specifications for a variety of interior design projects.
- Create detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for custom joinery elements such as cabinetry, furniture, and fittings.
- Ensure designs are in line with the clients vision, budget, and project requirements while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure feasibility and proper execution of designs.
- Revise and update designs based on feedback from the design team, clients, or project managers.
- Conduct site visits, when required, to verify measurements, assess site conditions, and ensure the accuracy of the joinery work.
- Provide technical support to the project team during the construction and installation phases of projects.
- Ensure that all documentation is up to date and stored correctly, maintaining accurate records of design changes and revisions.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, materials, and techniques in interior design and joinery.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Joinery Draftsman, with a strong portfolio of completed projects in the interior design sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and other design-related software.
- In-depth knowledge of joinery and cabinetry design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- A solid understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and construction techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both design and construction teams.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
- A background in working on high-end residential, commercial, or bespoke interior projects is highly desirable.
- A formal qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field (e.g., Joinery, Drafting, or Building Studies) is preferred.
