MECHANICAL CAD DRAFTSMAN

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Mechanical CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings for various MEP projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create detailed mechanical drawings, plans, and diagrams based on specifications provided by engineers and architects.
• Develop 2D and 3D CAD models of HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, and other mechanical systems.
• Incorporate design changes and modifications into existing drawings as per project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other draftsmen to resolve design issues and refine drawings.
• Maintain drawing files, project documentation, and records of revisions.
• Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and quantity estimates as needed.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other relevant CAD software (Revit MEP, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC design principles, and plumbing systems.
• Experience in drafting for MEP projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Certification in CAD drafting is a plus.
