MECHANICAL DRAFTSMEN

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Assist mechanical engineers in developing designs, ensuring accuracy in drafting, and applying necessary modifications.
- Create and update as-built drawings, ensuring all changes during the construction phase are captured.
- Work closely with project engineers and architects to coordinate mechanical designs with other building services.
- Review mechanical plans, identify discrepancies or potential issues, and provide solutions in consultation with the engineering team.
- Ensure all drawings comply with local GCC regulations, building codes, and standards.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, documents, and revisions for future reference.
- Support the preparation of shop drawings, tender documents, and construction plans as required.
- Conduct site visits, if necessary, to gather information for drafting purposes or to verify existing conditions for as-built drawings.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in the GCC.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software; knowledge of Revit or similar software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Familiarity with local GCC regulations, codes, and standards related to mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drafts.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work well with engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
