Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) for landscape architecture projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with landscape architects, designers, and other project stakeholders to integrate landscape elements into overall project models.
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and visualizations for various landscape features such as hardscapes, softscapes, and irrigation systems.
- Ensure BIM models are coordinated with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, resolving any clashes or inconsistencies.
- Update and manage BIM libraries, ensuring the availability of standard landscape components and materials.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations to optimize landscape designs using BIM technology.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, schedules, and reports derived from the BIM model to support project planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and protocols, contributing to the development and implementation of BIM workflows.
- Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM tools and processes related to landscape architecture.
- Stay updated on advancements in BIM technology and landscape design practices, implementing improvements as necessary.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a BIM Modeler, preferably in landscape or architectural projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles, materials, and construction techniques.
- Ability to create detailed and accurate models, drawings, and visualizations for complex landscape projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with BIM standards and best practices.
