ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
About the job ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform electrical design and engineering tasks for the Engineering phase of oil and gas projects, including FEED and Detailed Engineering.
- Develop electrical system designs, including single-line diagrams, cable sizing, load calculations, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project requirements, and international codes and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals and participate in equipment selection and procurement processes.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment of electrical designs with overall project objectives.
- Perform power system studies such as load flow, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination using software tools.
- Support technical reviews, design audits, and client approvals to ensure design deliverables meet ADNOCs requirements.
- Prepare and review electrical deliverables, including cable schedules, termination diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Provide technical support during design reviews, HAZOPs, and project audits.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in the Engineering phase (FEED and Detailed Engineering) of large-scale oil and gas projects.
- Previous work experience on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and other relevant applications.
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, procedures, and approval processes.
- Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Immediate availability for joining in Abu Dhabi.
