We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and engineering of high-voltage substations. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in primary and secondary design, detailed engineering, and working on 380 kV and 220 kV substation projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the electrical design for 380 kV and 220 kV substations, focusing on both primary and secondary design elements.
- Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical drawings for high-voltage substations.
- Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLD), protection and control schematics, and general arrangement drawings.
- Conduct detailed engineering studies and analyses for substation layouts, equipment selection, and system integration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements during the design and engineering process.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs into overall substation projects.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and address any design-related issues.
- Review and approve design submissions from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and client submittals.
- Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure that all design milestones are met on time and within budget.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on substation design (380 kV/220 kV).
- Expertise in primary and secondary design for high-voltage substations.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations for substation design.
- Proficiency in relevant electrical design software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in working with utility companies or large EPC contractors is preferred.
- Professional engineering certification (preferred but not required).
