We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. The ideal candidate should have a solid engineering background, proven leadership skills, and a strong grasp of project management principles with hands-on experience in utility-scale solar projects. PMP certification is a significant advantage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage end-to-end execution of solar power projects (MW-scale), ensuring completion within defined timelines, budget, and quality.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, government bodies, subcontractors, and vendors for seamless project execution.
- Prepare and monitor detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Review project designs, technical specifications, and drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Lead project reviews, progress meetings, and prepare project reports for stakeholders.
- Manage contracts, resolve disputes, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement and implementation of best practices in project management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years experience in managing large-scale solar EPC or renewable energy projects.
- Proven track record of delivering multi-megawatt solar projects from concept to commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- PMP certification is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with national and international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, NEC).
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen.
- Knowledge of grid interconnection and power evacuation systems.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
