Job Summary: As a Security Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of systems and applications by conducting regular testing to identify and fix vulnerabilities. Your role involves developing and maintaining security testing procedures, creating detailed reports on findings, and collaborating with development teams to incorporate security measures during the development phase. You will also stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies, recommend and implement security tools, and ensure compliance with data protection laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security testing on telecommunications applications, systems, and networks to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Perform penetration testing and ethical hacking to simulate real-world attacks on telecom infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute security test plans, test cases, and scripts tailored to telecom systems.
  • Analyse security test results and provide detailed reports with recommendations for remediation specific to telecom environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security testing into the software development lifecycle for telecom projects.
  • Monitor and assess security threats and vulnerabilities in real-time within telecom networks.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, tools, and techniques relevant to the telecommunications industry.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in telecom security.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on security testing methodologies specific to telecom systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8-15 years of experience in security testing, penetration testing, or related roles within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of security testing tools and methodologies relevant to telecom systems.
  • Experience with various security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, etc.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security technologies specific to telecom.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or similar are a plus.
