The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing field engineering services, coordination, and support for construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for new oil and gas facilities. This role requires managing and overseeing electrical works as part of a subcontractor team, ensuring that all construction activities performed by the Implementation Contractor meet IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and project specifications. The engineer will also be responsible for reviewing and approving documentation, drawings, and methods, while ensuring full compliance with ADNOC Onshore procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide field engineering services to support the construction activities by the Implementation Contractor, including preparation of calculation notes, sketches, and review of redlined and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure all construction activities at the site are performed according to IFC drawings and project specifications.
  • Review and approve documents, drawings, and method statements prepared by the Implementation Contractor.
  • Prepare calculation notes for any modifications requested by the Implementation Contractor to meet site conditions.
  • Ensure ADNOC Onshore procedures are followed for the preparation of as-built drawings.
  • Maintain redline markup drawings and ensure their accuracy in coordination with the EPCM contractor and the Implementation Contractor.
  • Coordinate with the Implementation Contractor, COMPANY site engineers, and EPCM contractor to ensure proper implementation of changes at the site.
  • Manage communication with vendor technicians to ensure that work is performed according to vendor IFC drawings and documentation.
  • Review and approve redline markup on behalf of the EPCM contractor, ensuring compliance before implementation.
  • Actively participate in constructability workshops, SIMOPS, PHSER, PSSR, and other project-specific sessions.
  • Attend and provide input in daily, weekly, and monthly progress review meetings to ensure proper reporting and resolution of any issues.
  • Participate in site walkthroughs for mechanical completion, PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review), and system energization.
  • Ensure the successful closing of engineering punches and provide support to the EPCM contractor for the same.
  • Prepare SOW (Scope of Work) for handover of final documentation to the third-party contractor as per ADNOC Onshore Engineering Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the projects Quality and HSE plan, ensuring all tasks comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Lead efforts in compliance with ADNOCs safety procedures during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role for onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Proven experience working on ADNOC Onshore projects or similar major oil and gas projects.
  • Strong understanding of IFC drawings, redline markup processes, and as-built drawing preparation.
  • Experience with electrical field engineering services, including pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Proficiency in electrical calculations and design modification to meet site-specific requirements.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC Onshore engineering procedures, including documentation and electronic submission guidelines.
  • Experience with coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and third-party contractors for engineering and construction projects.
