PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of a Plumbing/Firefighting (FF) BIM Modeler is to create detailed and accurate digital representations of plumbing and firefighting systems in construction projects. These models are used for design coordination, planning, and execution, ensuring that the systems are correctly integrated into the overall building structure.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage detailed BIM models for Plumbing and Firefighting (FF) systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, including architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines, to resolve design and modeling conflicts.
- Prepare detailed and accurate shop drawings for Plumbing and FF systems based on approved designs.
- Conduct clash detection and provide solutions to ensure model accuracy and seamless integration of Plumbing and FF systems with other disciplines.
- Update and maintain BIM models through all project stages, including design development, construction documentation, and as-built submissions.
- Adhere to GCC-specific codes, standards, and best practices in Plumbing and FF systems design and documentation.
- Participate in project coordination meetings to discuss design challenges and implement BIM standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of BIM models and shop drawings to meet project deadlines.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a BIM Modeler, with a focus on Plumbing and Firefighting systems.
- Hands-on experience with GCC projects, demonstrating familiarity with regional codes and standards.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
- Strong understanding of Plumbing and Firefighting system layouts, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
