The Senior Field Piping Engineer will lead piping engineering activities on a major onshore oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. This role involves overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, ensuring they meet project specifications, ADNOC standards, and industry regulations. Extensive field experience on ADNOC onshore or similar large-scale Middle Eastern oil and gas projects is essential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and supervise field piping engineering activities, including installation, inspection, and testing of piping systems in line with project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, industry regulations, and project safety protocols for all piping activities.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to contractors and subcontractors, maintaining quality control and ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, and inspections for piping systems, resolving technical issues on-site to meet project requirements.
- Review and validate engineering documents, including piping isometrics, P&IDs, and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless integration of piping systems within the project scope.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and quality checks to ensure progress aligns with project schedules and HSE requirements.
- Interface with client representatives and project stakeholders, providing technical support and ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Document field activities, including inspection records, test reports, punch lists, and daily and weekly project updates.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource management to maintain effective execution of piping tasks.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10-15 years of field piping engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years on ADNOC Onshore or similar major oil and gas projects in the Middle East.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and welding techniques used in oil and gas projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting piping isometrics, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of piping installations.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API) and ADNOC regulations related to piping systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience collaborating with client representatives and multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant certifications in piping engineering or project management are advantageous.
