POSITION PURPOSE

As a BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the model development and maintenance of accurate and coordinated Building Information Models (BIM) for our projects. You will collaborate closely with senior BIM Engineer, Coordinator, BIM Manager, and other project teams to ensure the successful delivery of BIM deliverables.

The ideal candidate possesses experience in creating 3D models using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or ArchiCAD. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are important. They should have strong problem-solving skills and be able to interpret design documents and specifications accurately. Familiarity with BIM standards and a willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technologies is desirable.

The role is applicable for all disciplines (Architecture, Structure, MEP, and Civil)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BIM Modeling:

  • Assist in developing 3D BIM models using industry-standard software, such as Revit.
  • Collaborate with the BIM team to ensure accurate and coordinated BIM models.
  • Incorporate design changes into the BIM models as directed by senior team members.
  • Follow established BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.

Drawing Extraction:

  • Support the extraction of 2D drawings and documentation from BIM models.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of extracted drawings and associated documentation.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the BIM library, ensuring up-to-date BIM components and families.

Clash Detection and Coordination:

  • Assist in resolving clashes by coordinating with other disciplines and making necessary adjustments to the BIM models.
  • Document clash reports and communicate findings to senior team members.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to senior team members.
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide input on BIM-related matters.
  • Perform visual review to capture model inconsistencies.

Professional Development:

  • Seek opportunities for continuous learning and improvement in BIM modeling techniques and software.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technology and industry trends.
  • Actively participate in training and development programs provided by the company.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Developing complex Building Information Models (BIM) for large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, or ArchiCAD.
  • Solid understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles and processes.
  • Ability to create and modify 3D models based on design documents and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and willingness to adapt to new software and technologies.
