ELECTRICAL BIM ENGINEER (BIM-MEP)
About the job ELECTRICAL BIM ENGINEER (BIM-MEP)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review electrical systems including power distribution (LV/MV), lighting, and ELV systems (fire alarm, CCTV, telecom/data)

Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and system layout planning

Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards

Create and manage electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other Autodesk tools

Prepare and develop MEP SDR drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings

Perform MEP modeling including electrical, ELV, street lighting, and site systems such as electrical services, site survey, and assessment

Ensure adherence to BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BEP
-
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, structural, mechanical, and site teams

Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks

Resolve clashes and participate in coordination meetings

Manage model submissions, documentation, and workflows using Aconex
- Maintain records for IFC, shop drawings, SDR, and as-built submissions
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

5–8 years of experience in MEP and BIM projects

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD

Strong experience in MEP modeling using Autodesk tools

Experience in preparing MEP SDR drawings
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power, lighting, and ELV
- Familiarity with BIM workflows, coordination, and clash detection processes
- Experience in model submission, documentation, and Aconex management
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
