Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect to design and lead the implementation of an on-premises Data Lakehouse on Cloudera CDP 7.3.1. The role involves defining architecture, implementing Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and Lambda architectures, establishing a metadata-driven Rules Engine, and delivering robust Data Governance, Security, and Compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable Lakehouse solutions on Cloudera CDP 7.3.1.
  • Design and govern Medallion and Lambda architectures for batch and streaming data processing.
  • Define standards for data modeling, ingestion, schema evolution, partitioning, and data quality.
  • Lead implementation of Iceberg, Hudi, Kudu, HBase/Phoenix, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, and NiFi.
  • Architect and deliver a metadata-driven Rules Engine supporting validation, transformation, and governance.
  • Implement enterprise security and governance using Ranger, Atlas, Knox, KMS, Kerberos, TLS, and AD/LDAP.
  • Establish CI/CD, observability, DR/BCP, performance optimization, and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with business, security, platform, and engineering teams; mentor developers and lead architecture reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture, including 3–5+ years on Cloudera CDH/CDP.
  • Proven experience delivering Lakehouse, Medallion, and Lambda architectures.
  • Strong expertise in Iceberg, Hudi, Kudu, HBase/Phoenix, Hive 3, Impala, Spark, Kafka, and Informatica BDM.
  • Hands-on experience with Ranger, Atlas, Kerberos, TLS, AD/LDAP, and SDX.
  • Experience designing metadata-driven Rules Engines and Data Quality frameworks.
  • Strong SQL, performance tuning, Linux, Git, CI/CD, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kafka CDC, Schema Registry, Ozone, KMS, and air-gapped environments.
  • Knowledge of SRE practices, DR/BCP, and regulatory compliance (PII, PCI, SOX, GDPR).
  • Relevant Cloudera, Informatica, or Security certifications.
