About the Role Duncan & Ross is retained by a leading petrochemical client on Saudi Arabia's Eastern Coast to source a Data Privacy Specialist to support the client's data privacy programme delivery. Working under the direction of the Data Privacy Expert and alongside legal and compliance teams, you will provide hands-on implementation support — translating privacy requirements into operational processes, tools, and controls across the organisation.
What You'll Do
- Support the implementation of the client's data privacy programme in line with Saudi Arabia's PDPL and the client's parent company requirements
- Conduct and document privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)
- Maintain the data processing register and records of processing activities (RoPA)
- Support the operationalisation of data subject rights request processes
- Assist in developing and rolling out privacy training and awareness materials
- Monitor regulatory developments and flag relevant changes to the privacy team
- Review contracts and third-party agreements for privacy compliance requirements
- Support data breach identification, assessment, and notification procedures
- Assist in embedding privacy by design across new projects and system implementations
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or a compliance role with a strong privacy focus
- Working knowledge of Saudi Arabia's PDPL and SDAIA framework — essential
- Broader international privacy knowledge (GDPR, CCPA) is advantageous
- CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent privacy certification preferred
- Experience in large, regulated organisations — energy, petrochemical, or industrial sector preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Good stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
